I'm a less is more kind of girl, and the majority of guys I know find a more natural look more attractive. So, focusing on countering and highlighting rather than huge smokey eyes and a bright red lip, I went for date night look is warm, soft and radiant (or so I hope).
Starting with the base, I cleansed using Rodial's Glamtox cleansing balm, which not only removes makeup and cleans effortlessly, but smells like heaven in a pot too. Applied to dry skin then gently massaged into the face and neck and removed with warm water, it leaves your skin fresh and silky smooth. Next up was the Glamtox day moisturiserto give me a smooth and hydrated base.
After blending in my foundation, I used the Instaglam (cool name right?!) Highlighter and Retouch pens. Focusing on the dark circles around my eyes, I used the Retouch pen in the corner of my eye and along the line of my under eye circle and once blended, used the yellow toned Highlighter pen to highlight. So, focusing on my upper cheekbones, brow bone, cupids bow and t-zone, setting it with the Instaglam Compact Duluxe Illuminating Powder in 01. These creamy pens are super easy to apply and from what I've found so far are really long lasting.
Keeping it soft, for my eyes I used the Eye Sculpt brush and mousse to create an under eye smudge joining with the shading on my socket line. The mousse is extremely light and incredibly easy to blend, which if you find blending to be a bit of a ball ache like me, is an absolute dream. I find applying a colourjust a few shades darker than your natural skin tone to your socket line and underneath flatters your eyes makingthem appear bigger and more set back into your face, which is great if you have slightly hooded eyelids like me.
To brighten them a little more, I applied the Illuminating Powder to the centre of my lids which makes them appear more open when the light reflects off it. And finally, added a small touch of black shadow alongthe lash line for a little more definition and finishing with a thick coat of the Glamolash Skinny Mascara.
For blush I used the Hyaluronic Cheek Sculpt in Rush, which actually is fluorescent orange when you first pump it out, but blended in small amounts to the apples of your cheeks gives a soft coral glow which was perfect for this makeup look, and I chose a lipstick combination to match.
I hope you enjoyed this beauty post and the first in my Valentines series and I've given you some date night beauty inspiration! I'm so impressed with these products and would love to know what you think in the comments below x

These products all look so lovely; I've never tried Rodial make up but I love their skincare range so I know what I'll be splurging on when payday comes around!
