Feminising Overalls

. March 31, 2015 .

Overalls can be  tricky to wear (especially if you're booty-heavy like me) but balanced with the right pieces they make an awesome outfit. For this look I've feminised them with a pair of ladylike boots and a red lip, not forgetting my Whistles 'feminin' French slogan sweat thrown on for good measure. See more below!

I love how a red lip compliments pastel blue garments, always makes for a pretty colour combination. Though, if you're going to be wearing it with white overalls like me, be sure to take extra when getting dressed, or, like me, you'll end up with a beautiful red smear chez dungaree strap. Bar that, coloured lips are really growing on me this season, I'm usually all about my Mac Honey Love, but I'm loving how you can use bright lip colours to accessorise your outfit. For finishing touches I slipped on my trusty Marc Jacobs watch and my new rose gold Michaell Kors buckle bracelet that my lovely nan gave me for my birthday.

On another note, you will have probably noticed an improvement in the quality of my blog photo's of late. My amazing dad gave me his 5D for my 21st as he wasn't using it anymore. Safe to say, there were tears (on my part) when he handed it over. I'm still getting to grips with all the gear and camera itself, but I'm so excited to use it properly and take some awesome photo's with it for Style Confessional. I've just shot an amazing gluten-free breakfast club style pancake recipe with it that will go up this easter weekend and I can't get over how great the images look! Stay tuned for that post on Saturday.
