I’m slowly easing into September. Albeit a bit reluctantly, but I’m opting for heavier fabrics and choosing pieces that will carry my summer wardrobe through to Autumn.
This all-Topshop look is probably my most favourite of my Fashion Chick Blogger Network collaborations yet.Last season was all about the suede skirt, mostly tan, button down pieces. So, for a fresh take on everyone’s favourite 70’s trend this season I’ve opted for a different brighter shade with a zip and tab fastening. I have to say I’m totally obsessed with this Topshop one, you can feel the quality in the weight of the real suede and I’m envisioning with a luxe cream knit and black opaque tights as it gets colder. For the high street it is a bit of an investment piece but I know I’ll get so much wear out of it for autumn winter.
This look I wore for the Look Fantastic party last week, pairing the skirt with this comfy but party-ready lace-up body and those lace-up flat’s that I’ve finally got my hands on. Rolling with the zip-theme I threw this navy denim jacket over the top, a kind of twist on double denim with the blue hues. We shot this look in Mayfair outside the Jo Hansford salon, post-makeover. A big thank you to the lovely stylist Frankie who turned my unruly mane into the bouncing curly locks you can see in these photos. Benefit were also on hand to expertly touch up our make-up before we set of to Fifty 9 bar on Berkely Square for an evening of partying complete with champagne, a few too many Krispy Kremes and of course plenty of Look Fantastic beauty products ]to try out. Thanks to them for such a wonderful evening!
