This time of year is always an amazing excuse to experiment with makeup, be it a Christmas shin-dig or NYE I love having a play with party beauty and this vampy looks is one of my favourites this season.
One thing I've been trying out recently is an ombré lip. Not only does it look pretty for a party but gives the illusion of bigger and fuller lips. For this look I started by lining my lips with the NXY thick pencil liner which is a gorgeous pigmented shimmery plum colour, and filling in the corners a little. These come in at just over £4 in a variety of shades so I'd definitely recommend picking one up for your party looks this season. I then used my Nars Pure Matte lipstick in Tonkin in the middle parts of my lips and just under the cuspids bow, using a finger tip to slightly blend the two shades together - super easy. I personally love the shimmer and matte contrast but you can do this with any two of your favourite light and dark colours really.
With a fairly statement lip I like to keep eyes pretty simple. Using Kiko's soft cream shimmer eyeshadow to highlight the lid I then contoured the socket line and lower lash line with my Vita Libreta loose bronzer to pick up the hues on my cheeks. Using Eyeko's 'Eye Do' liner I created a bold winged look (my signature) on my top lid.
For brows and lashes I also used some new Eyeko products. The brow magic is full of tiny fibres which is amazing for creating a fuller brow for party makeup and used my trusty Chanel pencil to define. On my lashes I used Eyeko's Sport Lash mascara which is waterproof so will have excellent lasting power throughout any party and the wand is brilliant for giving your lashes a little lift.
